1. About This Donation Policy
Love for Change Women Foundation (“Love for Change,” “the Foundation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) appreciates the generosity of individuals, organisations, companies, institutions, partners, and other supporters who choose to contribute to our work.
This Donation Policy explains how donations made to Love for Change Women Foundation through our website or other approved channels are received, administered, acknowledged, and applied.
Our intention is to manage donations responsibly and in a manner consistent with our mission, programmes, priorities, and available resources.
By making a donation, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Donation Policy.
2. Our Mission and the Purpose of Donations
Love for Change Women Foundation is committed to creating opportunities and supporting initiatives that contribute to the advancement, empowerment, development, and wellbeing of women and communities.
Donations help provide resources that may support our programmes, initiatives, partnerships, and organisational development.
Depending on our current priorities and available resources, donations may contribute to areas including:
2.1 Education
Donations may support educational opportunities, learning resources, training, educational initiatives, scholarships, or related activities designed to improve access to learning and development.
2.2 Digital Inclusion
Donations may support initiatives that help women and communities access digital tools, technology, digital education, digital skills, internet-enabled opportunities, and other resources that promote meaningful participation in the digital economy.
2.3 STEAM and Technology Programmes
Donations may support Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and related technology initiatives, including educational programmes, workshops, training, mentorship, learning resources, technology access, and other activities that encourage participation in STEAM and technology.
2.4 Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment
Donations may support entrepreneurship training, business development, financial literacy, skills development, economic empowerment initiatives, enterprise support, and related activities intended to improve opportunities for women.
2.5 Mentorship and Skills Development
Donations may contribute to mentorship programmes, professional development, leadership development, vocational training, capacity-building activities, workshops, and other skills-development opportunities.
2.6 Community Support and Philanthropy
Donations may support community initiatives, philanthropic activities, humanitarian support, outreach programmes, community development activities, and other initiatives aligned with the Foundation’s objectives.
2.7 Future Institution-Building Initiatives
As the Foundation develops, donations may also contribute to establishing, developing, equipping, or supporting future facilities, centres, programmes, platforms, infrastructure, and other institution-building initiatives that advance the Foundation’s mission.
3. How We Use Donated Funds
We aim to use donations responsibly in ways that best support our mission and current priorities.
Unless a donation is specifically designated for an approved campaign or programme, contributions may be allocated to areas where the Foundation considers the funds most useful or needed at the relevant time.
This may include:
- programme activities;
- educational initiatives;
- technology and digital inclusion;
- STEAM and skills-development programmes;
- entrepreneurship and economic empowerment;
- community initiatives;
- mentorship and capacity building;
- programme materials and resources;
- administration and operational requirements;
- fundraising and donor-support activities;
- communications and awareness activities;
- technology and website-related costs;
- professional and support services; and
- future initiatives consistent with the Foundation’s objectives.
The Foundation may determine the allocation of unrestricted donations based on its priorities, available resources, programme requirements, and circumstances at the relevant time.
4. One-Time Gifts
A one-time donation is a contribution made as a single payment without an ongoing commitment.
One-time donations may be made through the donation options available on our website or through other approved channels.
Once a donation has been successfully processed, it may be treated as a completed contribution, subject to the provisions of this Donation Policy and any rights that may apply under the relevant payment method or applicable requirements.
5. Recurring Gifts
Where recurring donations are available, donors may choose to make contributions on a recurring basis.
The frequency, amount, and duration of a recurring donation will depend on the options made available through the relevant payment platform.
A donor may request cancellation or adjustment of a recurring donation through the available payment mechanism or by contacting us at:
Email: info@loveforchangefoundation.org
Requests relating to future payments should be made as early as reasonably possible.
The Foundation is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors, banks, card issuers, or other financial service providers.
6. Designated One-Time Gifts
Where the Foundation expressly provides an approved campaign or programme for designated donations, a donor may choose to indicate that the donation is intended to support that particular initiative.
A designated donation will be considered in accordance with the purpose communicated by the Foundation at the time of the donation.
However, circumstances may change. If a designated programme, campaign, activity, or initiative is completed, discontinued, postponed, changed, or otherwise unable to use the funds as originally anticipated, the Foundation may apply the donation to a substantially related purpose or another area consistent with its mission and priorities.
Where reasonably practicable, the Foundation may communicate with the donor regarding a material change in the intended use of a designated donation.
7. Restricted and Unrestricted Donations
Unless expressly identified by the Foundation as restricted, donations will generally be treated as unrestricted contributions.
Unrestricted contributions provide the Foundation with flexibility to direct funds towards areas of greatest need or priority.
A donor should not assume that a donation is restricted to a particular programme unless the Foundation has expressly confirmed the restriction.
Where a donation is intended to be restricted, the Foundation may require the proposed restriction to be agreed or confirmed in writing before the donation is accepted on that basis.
8. Donation Receipts and Acknowledgements
Where applicable, Love for Change Women Foundation may provide a donation receipt, acknowledgement, confirmation, or other record of a contribution.
The availability and form of a receipt may depend on:
- the donation method;
- information provided by the donor;
- the payment platform used;
- whether the transaction can be verified; and
- the Foundation’s administrative procedures.
Donors should ensure that the information supplied during the donation process is accurate.
A donation acknowledgement does not necessarily constitute a representation regarding the tax treatment of the donation.
9. Refunds
Donations are generally intended to support the Foundation’s charitable and programme activities.
If a donor believes that a donation was made in error, duplicated, made without authorisation, or otherwise requires review, the donor should contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:
info@loveforchangefoundation.org
The Foundation may review the circumstances of the request and, where appropriate, determine whether a refund can be processed.
Where a refund is approved, the Foundation may seek to return the funds through the original payment method or another appropriate method.
The timing of any refund may depend on the relevant bank, payment provider, card issuer, or other financial institution.
10. Payment Processing
Online donations may be processed through third-party payment service providers.
When a donor makes an online payment, certain payment information may be processed by the relevant payment provider in accordance with that provider’s own terms, policies, and security procedures.
Love for Change Women Foundation does not intend to receive or store payment-card information that is handled directly by a third-party payment processor, except where such information is lawfully provided to or processed by the Foundation for legitimate administrative purposes.
Donors should review the relevant payment provider’s terms and privacy information where appropriate.
11. Failed, Duplicate, Reversed, or Unsuccessful Payments
A donation may fail, be reversed, duplicated, delayed, or otherwise be affected by circumstances involving a bank, payment processor, card issuer, network, technical system, or other third party.
If a donor believes that a payment has been incorrectly processed, the donor should contact the Foundation with relevant transaction details so that the matter can be reviewed.
The Foundation will make reasonable efforts to assist with enquiries relating to donations processed through its approved channels.
12. Chargebacks and Disputed Donations
If a donor disputes a donation through a bank, card issuer, payment provider, or other financial institution, the Foundation may provide relevant transaction information to the appropriate institution where reasonably necessary to respond to or resolve the dispute.
Donors are encouraged to contact the Foundation first where an issue can reasonably be resolved directly.
13. Anonymous Donations
Where available, donors may choose not to have their names publicly associated with their donations.
Anonymous donations may still be subject to appropriate administrative, financial, verification, or record-keeping processes.
Choosing to remain anonymous does not necessarily mean that the Foundation will be unable to identify the donor internally where information is required to process or administer the donation.
14. Donor Privacy
Love for Change Women Foundation respects donor privacy.
Information provided by donors may be used for purposes such as:
- processing and administering donations;
- issuing donation acknowledgements;
- communicating about donations;
- maintaining appropriate financial and administrative records;
- responding to donor enquiries;
- managing recurring contributions;
- improving donor services;
- complying with applicable requirements; and
- protecting the Foundation against fraud, misuse, or unauthorised transactions.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Foundation’s Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.
The Foundation does not intend to sell donor personal information.
Where third-party payment or technology providers are used, relevant information may be processed by those providers as necessary to provide their services.
15. Corporate and Institutional Donations
Love for Change Women Foundation may accept donations from companies, institutions, organisations, foundations, philanthropic bodies, and other entities.
Where appropriate, the Foundation may establish separate arrangements for significant institutional contributions, partnerships, grants, sponsorships, or programme support.
Such arrangements may be subject to separate written terms.
16. In-Kind Donations and Volunteer Support
Love for Change Women Foundation may welcome non-financial contributions that support its programmes, activities, and objectives.
In-kind or non-cash support may include:
- educational materials and supplies;
- computers, devices, software, and technology equipment;
- books and learning resources;
- office or programme equipment;
- professional services;
- training and technical support;
- venue or event support;
- transportation or logistical support;
- creative, communications, or media support;
- Mentorship and coaching;
- facilitation of workshops, seminars, or training sessions;
- guest speaking and subject-matter expertise;
- volunteer services; and other forms of skills, resources, or professional support.
Individuals who wish to support the Foundation as mentors, facilitators, trainers, speakers, coaches, volunteers, or professional contributors may be required to provide relevant information about their experience, qualifications, availability, and area of expertise.
Acceptance of in-kind or volunteer support may depend on the Foundation’s current programmes, needs, capacity, safeguarding considerations, and suitability of the proposed support.
The Foundation may determine how and when accepted in-kind resources or professional support are used based on programme requirements and operational needs.
17. Donor Due Diligence
For certain donations, particularly significant, unusual, institutional, or restricted contributions, the Foundation may request additional information from a donor before accepting or applying the donation.
This may be necessary to understand the source, purpose, conditions, or intended use of the contribution and to support responsible administration.
The Foundation may decline or return a donation where appropriate.
18. Donations We May Decline or Return
The Foundation may decline or return a donation where:
- The donation is inconsistent with the Foundation’s objectives, programmes, or responsible administration; or
- There are reasonable concerns regarding the source, conditions, authorisation, or circumstances surrounding the donation.
Where a donation is returned, the method and timing of the return may depend on the circumstances and the payment method used.
19. Fundraising on Behalf of Love for Change
No individual or organisation should represent itself as an authorised fundraising representative of Love for Change Women Foundation without appropriate authorisation from the Foundation.
If someone is collecting funds claiming to represent Love for Change, donors are encouraged to verify the fundraising activity directly with the Foundation.
The Foundation may not be responsible for funds sent to unauthorised individuals, accounts, websites, or platforms.
20. Fraudulent Donation Requests
Donors should exercise caution when responding to donation requests received through unofficial channels.
Official donation information should be obtained through the Foundation’s authorised communication channels and website.
If you receive a suspicious request claiming to represent Love for Change Women Foundation, please contact:
info@loveforchangefoundation.org
21. Tax and Financial Advice
The Foundation does not provide individual tax, accounting, financial, or legal advice to donors.
Donors are responsible for obtaining independent professional advice regarding the treatment of their donations, including any potential tax or accounting implications.
Any statement about the tax treatment of a donation should not be understood as a guarantee that a donor will receive a particular tax benefit.
22. Currency and Bank Charges
Where donations are made in a currency other than the currency ultimately received by the Foundation, exchange rates, conversion costs, bank charges, payment-provider fees, or other transaction costs may affect the amount received.
The amount displayed or authorised by a donor may therefore differ from the net amount ultimately received by the Foundation.
23. Donor Recognition
Where appropriate and with the donor’s permission, the Foundation may recognise donors through acknowledgements, reports, publications, events, website content, or other communications.
A donor may request that their name not be publicly disclosed.
No donor will be publicly recognised in a manner that the Foundation knows to be inaccurate or misleading.
24. Responsible Stewardship
Love for Change Women Foundation seeks to manage donated funds responsibly and to use available resources in support of its mission and activities.
Our programmes and priorities may change over time in response to community needs, available resources, partnerships, opportunities, operational considerations, and other relevant circumstances.
Accordingly, the Foundation does not promise that every donation will be used for a particular activity, beneficiary, programme, location, item, or outcome unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
25. No Guarantee of a Particular Outcome
Donations support the Foundation’s broader mission and activities.
Although the Foundation intends to use donations responsibly and for purposes consistent with its objectives, the Foundation does not guarantee a particular result, impact, beneficiary outcome, programme result, or other specific outcome from any donation.
Programme implementation may depend on funding, partnerships, participation, operational circumstances, external events, and other factors.
26. Website and Donation Information
Information about programmes, campaigns, fundraising initiatives, donation opportunities, and other activities may change from time to time.
The Foundation may update, suspend, modify, or discontinue a fundraising campaign or donation opportunity when circumstances require.
The Foundation will endeavour to keep published information reasonably current but does not guarantee that every website description, campaign detail, or programme reference will remain unchanged.

When the policy is updated, the revised version may be published on:
